You Can Talk About Hopscotch Here; Topic 30 [OFFICIAL]

Okay, that makes sense, thanks!

I’m actually making a planet colonization game. That’s why the stars slow down because they are going to a planet thing. As for the smaller star part, I did that the other way around, where the bigger stars move slower. You can see that if you look at the star speed object variable in the title menu clone code. I don’ really know how to do it the other way around.

@t1_hopscotch for some reason this is filtered since 9 weeks lol: https://c.gethopscotch.com/p/12qr5ctv9j

I just checked, your project currently contains a filtered word.

Fix: just add a space between increase and x for the 2 occurrences (underscore probably won’t work, but you can try)

Ex: set the variable name to increase_x ([redacted due to a word containing explicit content])

Please note: the project won’t be taken out instantly due to a project update.

hm im genuinely surprised i added a filtered word in it
checking the filter…

edit: bruh are you serious :expressionless: /nay

edit2: updated, thanks for the help @crosbyman64! named it icx

Alright. It has passed the filter. It may take a few minutes to be live. You can ask t1 to recover the project if it doesn’t go live in the next 4 hours.

@t1_hopscotch can you take his project out of the filter? It hasn’t gone live yet, and he has recently updated it to fix a word that got it stuck in the filter.

(Just in case it still doesn’t go live any time soon)…

Just a reminder…

I chose “The Book Of Happiness”.

Superliminal is the first person puzzle optical illusion game I was thinking of.

It does seem like it’d be a bit of a challenge to take that style and recreate it in Hopscotch.

Should I make a update topic for smaller projects? I really like having different topics for each of my games but maybe a general one for smaller projects?

I’d recommend a topic for all of them, or a topic for bigger projects and a topic for smaller ones.

18 posts were split to a new topic: Objects being moved to bottom left corner of screen

That might be a good idea. I don’t know how many people would rather me do that or keep it how it is.

I like having separate topics for people who might not be interested in all of my projects, I also like having a specific place for everybody to see a games updates.

I like having one update topic because it’s easier for me and other people to see all of my updates in general. It also would probably get more people to find out about all of my games.

It might annoy some people with how many update topics I make though…

Please vote in this poll!

@ShiningStars (sorry for two consecutive tags) @Pollpeople

  • Make a single update topic for all of your games!
  • Make a separate update topic for each game!

Hey @Fundardo ! May I please use this code for another project (with credit)? I’m going to use it with credit for now as you don’t post often now and I think it’s ftu as it’s showcasing code but please tell me if not!

Approved it now – not sure why it still got filtered after changing the variable name though. I couldn’t find any case of the word again in the project data.
