What just happened

The text glitches

Hmm, I think you found a bug

Basically there’s two definitions of “smooth pen”

  1. It draws 60 frames per second, which is twice as smooth as default (press rule is 30FPS).

  2. You use math to smoothly connect curves between each point, creating the bezier curve that @Bobinny mentioned.

If you want method 1, it’s pretty simple:

iPad pressed {
  set ipad press to 1
iPad not pressed {
  set ipad press to 0
When iPad press equals 1 {
  draw trail {
    set position last touch x, last touch y

I’d have to check again if this is the right way to do it, but I don’t think anything has changed since then.
(equals runs 60 times per second, standard iPad pressed only runs 30)

If you want the ones that look much smoother, you’ll have to look at other HS projects

Where’s the best place to mess around with discobot? I just wanna see what it does

Well ae’s modded player isn’t working actually, and you don’t need a computer for that.

It is very glitchy like the key board thingy

question - how to match exactly 5, 6 or 7 times using regex? @CodeHelp

for more advanced regex debuggers

my regex: (r((\s|\n)[ry0]){[5-7]}(\s|\n)){3}r
my string test:

0 0 0 0 0 0 0
0 r 0 r 0 r 0
0 0 r r r 0 0
0 0 0 r 0 0 0
0 0 r r r 0 0
0 0 0 0 0 0 0

When specifying how many times to match a character, I don’t think that your syntax of {[5-7]} is correct. What you most likely want it {5,7}. For example, the regex (Hello){5,7} would match “Hello” exactly 5, 6 or 7 times.

oh wow oops :sweat_smile: i forgot we can do that - tysm william!

You’re welcome!

Ok I’ll look into that, thanks!

1: Start of string
2: Find 0 or more characters that are not r, including new lines, followed by r
3: Repeat this 5, 6, or 7 times
4: After all occurrences of r, match zero or more characters that are not r
5: End of string
