Up/Down Arrow Variable Bug

Let me explain

So, if you have a variable in any parameters and hit the up or down arrow (that you usually use to increase/decrease), or clear button, the parameter turns into an up or down arrow or text saying “clear”

Another minor bug—the player counts it as 0–but it’s noteworthy

So the player counts it as 0, but you want it to count as a number…following

How would the player know which number to choose from?

Would it be like arrow < number?

I figured it would change it to 1 or -1 from the variable

I guess it recognizes it as 0 since there is no number

Yep

I do like this idea, as it could potentially be used to face music, or decrease the wait time.

Wait. You’re thinking this is a suggestion? I counted it as a bug lol

Oh, but it could be a good suggestion for fading and other functions

lol I can’t read

Yeah it would be a nice suggestion

This isn’t a bug only for music. I’ve seen it in every type of parameter

Huh, that’s not good

Same.
It does that with clear as well, and the “clear” text appears.

Happens in math and variable blocks as well. Basically everything with a parameter.

In that case, could you edit the op and change music to parameter?

Changed and also added the clear bit

Does this happen all the time? I don’t seem to have encountered this issue before

You need to replace a variable with the up or down symbol to get the bug

Ah I see. There were a couple of times when trying that it seemed like the editor corrected it to either a 1 or a -1 after the arrow appeared for a couple of seconds

That’s because you had a decimal number. The HS editor considers decimal numbers to be 0 so if you press the up button or the down button it will turn into -1 or 1
