this post is written in order to officially announce that the topic is being in use! also to inform you what is Swipe-a-Snake :)

In the public demo, there’s a snake and some solid tiles. You did not have a chance to create your own level, and the only goal is to survive the longest. That will change from now.
→ 3 gamemodes are available.
Sandboxin’: Swipe-a-Snake’s classic gamemode. try to survive as long as possible!
Get the X: cover all the X on the map with your snake body. Small catch: try using as few moves as possible!
Catcha’pple: the classic snake game. Eat apples to grow, and try to survive the longest.
for all of those gamemodes, you will earn one star if you successfully accomplish what you have to do. You’ll get another one by beating the dev score. And finally, you’ll get a third one by finding the hidden star.
→ A primitive level builder has been added to the project. You will be able to test your own creations!
→ New tiles are added to the game.
Coins: for in-game purchases
Glass: breakable in a chain only if you are next to it immediately
Apple: for the catcha’pple gamemode
X: for the Get the X gamemode
seems few but remember all of these only take one frame totally
→ The following tiles are soon in development.
Rotation tile: being next to it rotates your movement accordingly to the tile’s rotation direction.
Portal: never done this before and @Crosbyman64 recently encouraged me to do it, so i’ll add it to the game!
Hidden star: Being next to it when you’re not moving will reveal the star. It gives you +1 star on the level.
(Wallbreaker): powerup allowing to break a chain of wall on your next move. still in consideration and how powerup will work.
You are very welcome to suggest your tiles!! You will be credited if it gets added.
maybe a trap tile, where if the snake is touching thee tile for too long the tile will disintegrate (turn into a normal tile) and take the piece of the snake that is touching it down with it.
but to keep it doable in one frame only (which will become a speedrun feature soon), ill make it simpler: when the snake is stationary on the trap, it’ll cut the snake. if it cuts the head, the player is dead

Portals has been added.
→ Rotation tiles (both turn left and right) are now added. It was a real challenge to implement it lol 3 days of reflexion, 4 papers for drawings, 1 paper of calculations, and 12 hours of musics non-stop (ok for the last one im exaggerating)
→ Trap tile has been added, a suggestion by @affogato :D remember that im very very open to suggestions so go ahead if you have one!
→ Get the X gamemode, as well as the WIN tile, are discontinued. The reason is simply it’s too repetitive with the Catcha’pple gamemode. I maybeee have an awesome idea what gamemode will replace it
→ Box tile, push tile, and box spawning tile are on the roadmap if the game becomes dynamic (instead of always being a screen of 16*12, the level is actually bigger, it goes outside the screen. a great example is a platformer.)

When will it be updated?
i code the project everyday and i bring big changes because im able to code 8 hours a day on holidays, but i only post important changes on this topic every ~3 days :)
I have a suggestion, there are lots of cool tiles but it might be hard to memorize all of the colors, so maybe add an image to them so you can tell what they are?
in fact, i am currently working on that- however you’ll only be able to see the results when this bug gets fixed :/
If you still had access to TestFlight version 3.56.0, you’d be able to upload crisp images without issue. I still have access because I never pressed “Stop Testing”

a simple program that converts your color. not planning to code for more than 3 days because this is supposed to be a small project
hex to rgb is already functional and the websafe database is ready. the project will probably be out on monday so this is the only time you guys will be tagged for this mini project

Cool. I have an art pad project (StarPad Pro) that converts RGB to HSB or vise versa in near real-time, as shown in the color picker. I also have a HEX input, which is also converted to RGB first, then to HSB.
I might actually be able to make it real time by using frame recursion .
Scratch that, no I can’t. But I definitely can using variable equality operators, and if lists/arrays come to Hopscotch, then I definitely can make it faster (in some cases).
