I keep crashing the Siri Shortcuts app on my iPad 6th Gen when trying to run the shortcut.

One with just a text object and like two blocks of code XD
Amazing! I really like Siri shortcuts and all the possible things that you can do with it. Great job on this one! Unfortunately, my iPhone is the only device I have with Hopscotch on that has at least iOS 12, which is what is needed for the app, I believe. I’m going to try to update one of my iPads and try the shortcut though. Once again, amazing job!
Wow amazing article FR. I don’t have time to read it rn but it’s is impressive just LOOKING at it!
Thanks. It is almost as great as modifying on a PC only because on PC the only thing you’d do is mess with things that don’t do anything (or break your project), with the exception of changing game rules, but most people only care about stage size, objects, blocks
What’s a JSON file and how do you make one?
You don’t need to make one. Hopscotch stores its project in a format called JSON, which you can edit to change block, event, and game rule parameters, as well as just about anything else in the project. (This does NOT include the editor itself).
To use this shortcut, follow the instructions in post 1
@William04GamerA If you have an iPad on iOS 11 like I do, you can download an older version of the app called “Workflow” and it works just fine
Mini FAQ or Concerns on Post 2
So when I try to open the JSON file for a project in Shortcuts the app crashes, so will it still work?
Yes, it does not save until you replace the file.
And it crashes when you try to load the project? Odd
Yep it crashes, every time, right as I tap the file to open it.
Unless I should be going into the Hopscotch metadata file or something.
That is very odd. Do you have a device restriction that could possibly disallow viewing files?
I should say it this way: Do you have access to the Files app normally?
Yep, I have access to the files app.
Should I be going into the metadata file to choose a project instead of the json projects file?
No, you should go to the json_projects folder and choose the most recent one (sort by date, first item) assuming that you have the target file as your first draft
Oh hey it finally worked without crashing, thanks for helping!
Did you not sort by date? I think you might have just tried to access a deleted draft otherwise…
I think I sorted by date before but I’m not sure.
If it does use any of that, it would say that the shortcut uses that
Ya I’ve seen that lol… BTW to share, you have you have to have a iCloud account… Whenever I try to share it says I’m not logged in…
