Hello and welcome guys, gals and nonbinary pals, to the official LGBTQ+ Coding Club! Our aim is to provide a topic for support, education and of course, activities for members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community. This means anyone supportive of the community can consider themselves a member and participate in activities!
From the closing of the preceding topics, it's obvious some loose reminders should be addressed, so let's get that out of the way ASAP:
Please be respectful of everyone's identity and pronouns. It's pretty Unchill™ to deliberately use the wrong pronouns for someone. (That being said, if someone slips up, please address it in a calm manner, because it can definitely be hard to remember. ngl I mess up my own pronouns sometimes, it happens.)
If a discussion escalates into an argument, please do your best to defuse the situation. Take a deep breath, take a step back, and return with a calm demeanor to solve the problem. (Moderation may or may not be put into effect at some point)
To reiterate, this is to be a topic of respect. Keep an open mind and be accepting of everyone, because that's the way everyone should be treated.
If, for whatever reason, you feel the need to express negativity towards the subject of LGBTQ+ and its community, mute the tag by clicking the gear on your profile picture, scrolling down to 'Tags' and entering the tag "lgbt" into the text box labeled 'Muted'. Any and all discrimination is not only against the rules of this topic, but also the entire forum, as stated in the Community Guidelines.
NOW THAT I'VE COMPLETELY RUINED THE MOOD HAHA
~ let's get down to business ~
i'm gonna make a poll to see whether we should have mods or not?? and make a global edit post for putting preferred pronouns??? and go from there????
