How to make them, what they mean, and how to use them. :D
How do you make a emoticon on the forum?
You type :D!
Well... It's not that simple. ;-; :D
If you just type :D, it will turn into this emoji... 
So... To prevent that from happening... You type this! :D
:<hi>DYou can put one letter or anything in the center if you would like, but I usually just use 'hi'. :D
You could also do it like this... :D
:D<hi>^ I think @Anonymous does it this way, he also taught me how to do it this way! :D ^
This is now on world edit mode! You can add on your emoticons. :D
Rules!
- No inappropriate, offensive, or rude emoticons, do not do anything that violates the community guidelines.
- No pictures, only emoticons made out of text and text only. XD
- Describe the emoticons well, don't just say 'this is an emoticon', descriptions can be as long as you want!
- Try to follow this layout:

- If your emoticon requires something to make it or get it, add that to the description!

Notes:
If your emoticon violates one of the more important rules, I might have to remove it, or ask you about it.

It means you're happy! :D
It's a smile. :D
A happy smile.
A happy smile that will make others smile! :D
What does :) mean?
I look at it like a friendly smile, or a calm one. :D
I think it's good to use when you're calm, I guess?

What does :P mean?
It means you're joking. :P
Or you mean something in a funny way. :D
This could also be used with a lowercase p.

I didn't know what this meant for a long time... XD
It means you're laughing!
Note: You don't have to type XD with the <??> thingy. XD
What does ;-; mean?
It means you're crying! ;-;
Not in a negitive way, though.
It's in a funny way!
Or at least a somewhat happy way. :D
For example, you would say "I forgot to like your project. ;-;"

/._.\ is a sad face, similar to ;-;. It is expressed when you got rejected in something, or when your sad.

How do I use it on Hopscotch?
You just type :D, :P, :), etc! :D
Unless you have a strange autocorrect... XD
You can use it for games, and art, and a lot of stuff on hopscotch!
You can put it on shapes, to create a blob-like character with a face. :D
You can put it on a person for a instant face! XD
Make sure to turn it 90 degrees before you put it on the character's face. XD
Those are just some ideas, the possibilities are endless! :D
All of this (besides the "what does ___ mean?" parts.) goes for :|, :\, :T too, but I'm not exactly sure how to explain some of those (I don't use them very often.), and I wanted to focus on the happy/positive ones. :D
