Well I guess you ca pun just edit the json file and delete and copy and paste scenes there? I never tried it before though

Yeah, I’ve had to do that before, cuz I had a scene filled with images lol
The beta was soooo laggy

That would be nice, deleting especially (I imagine).

I’ve messed with duplicating in the normal editor with my shortcut, but the duplicated objects have a really strange behavior in the JSON code due to it having the same Object ID.

You’d need to duplicate every object, every rule in the object, adn every ability that isn’t a custom block but it is technically possible to do that.

Yeah, didn’t think about that

Ummm… do you know how Hopscotch generates the object ID’s?

Each object gets an ID when it’s created. You are actually copying the whole entire object when duplicating the scenes, object ID included. If you change the object ID of the second one, they will separate from each other.

Cool! I guess that’s all the gibberish in the .json files. Do the action blocks also have an ID? Sorry if my questions aren’t very good. I’m still new to this. Also your shortcut is awesome!

Action block as in the rainbow one, right? Yeah, those are considered “abilities” which all have an ID.

Thanks!

Probably a good feature to add before scenes come out of beta.

Duplicating scenes would be useful if you are making something very similar but in different formats

it’s the same…but different

Exactly. Something like where the first part of the code is the same, but then you code the second part. It would be real useful
