Stats in Hopscotch

I don’t think anyone’s created a topic about this, and I thought it’d be really cool. So, my idea is, as the title suggests, stats in Hopscotch (the app).

Some thoughts as to what that could be include:

  • Number of days visited
  • Number of projects you liked
  • Total number of likes on all your projects
  • Average number of likes on all your projects
  • Your most liked project
  • Your most viewed project
  • Number of ppl you’re following (and list them when number is pressed)
  • Number of ppl following you (and list them when number is pressed)
  • If you’re currently on
  • Number of unique users who have liked at least one of your projects

You can view the stats either by clicking the user’s profile pic, a button somewhere nearby, or a while separate tab.

Anyone have anything to add? What are your thoughts on this?

Nice idea!

I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t do these because people could brag and all that

Or when you were last seen, like the forum

Makes sense.

Correct.

Idk if this will happen cuz kids will get upset @ very low number = less high numbers = parents complain and leave bad review.

Optional?

ooh wait you’re missing number of published projects

Yeah, I was thinking about that one, but didn’t put it for some reason.

There should be a setting to enable those stats

Nice ideas! 'Cept following and likes, I could see that going really wrong really fast (hurt feelings, bragging, discouragement, etc)

this is an amazing idea

Awesome, I like them all

Don’t forget about:
Most remixed, how many remixes of your projects are out there
How many published projects

Great idea! I can’t believe no one said that one before.

I would just want to see Valgo’s profile for that

There are reasons why this doesn’t exist and never will.

Also stats telling you if you’re online is pointless and has no real use-case

There is already a way to find out how many people are folllowing you.

But stats saying last seen at [idk] would let you see if someone has left or if someone came back

Last seen I can see but if just showing if you are online at the time…

I like these ideas! I think the likes and followers is a cool idea, but it could hurt people’s feelings and discourage new coders. Maybe the likes and followers could be only visible to yourself?
