See Code Button Bug

Use this template to make awesome bug reports:

Your username: Arcade Grounds.

What kind of device are you using?: iPhone 6, iOS 12

1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened): I tapped the see code button but it shows rename object.

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

  1. Create an object
  2. Tap see code
    ….

I expected this to happen: Open the code

But instead this happened: Rename the object

Here’s a sweet screenshot:

That’s because the ‘see code’ is below the object. Normally the button to name the object is there. Must have occurred in 3.14.5 when they fixed this feature

That is quite frustrating.
Has happened to me

It is very annoying.

that must be annoying

for now just tap on the sprite a couple times to access the code (I think)

I knew that before, but just wanted to report the bug

yeah it’s worth a report

I honestly want a better way to rename objects, fixing this bug might make an opportunity for it

This is very frustrating indeed

Similarly, when you want to rename the object, you have to tap it 3 or 4 times for it to recognize your tapping. It sometimes does the opposite and goes into the code.

A bug each way lol

Though this was made easier recently

Honestly an edit name button would be the best option (right next to the object you’re on when you’re actually coding)

That’s possible. I remember struggling with that in the past, but I haven’t tested it in some time so maybe it was fixed.

I agree. That would be very beneficial

I think it was fixed in one of the latest updates.

Ah, my mistake. Good to hear!

Huh, I always want the other thing to happen

Same here

Phew. That was quit a relief.

I meant quite a relief

Nope, it’s not been fixed. See Code works fine (mostly) but if you tap somewhere in the top half, it decides to rename the object rather than opening the code.
