1 sentence description of the problem I added a rounded square shape and

set width to 50 height to 200.

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

  1. Add rounded square
2. }(When game starts)
(set width (50) set height (200))
{

….

I expected this to happen:
I expected the corners to remain rounded.
But instead this happened:
Instead the were messed up.
Here’s a sweet screenshot:

One solution would be to add a shape called rounded rectangle or simply fix the bug that is causing this.

That’s not actually a bug
That’s just how width and height works
When you change the width and height, the width and height of the shape’s rounded part also changes.

Ok. That’s why I also suggested a rounded rectangle shape

Or a rounded square where the rounded parts don’t change, and you can set its thickness

Good idea

As others have said, this is just how it works

But what if you tried turning that into a rounded square?

I know an alternative.

Original object = rectangle
Clones 1 and 2: rounded square
Clone 3: text (optional)

All clones are positions based on the original object’s shape and position.

Here’s an example:

ik. Ive done that before. It would be easier with one object though

True, but for a rounded rectangle to look normal, the width and height would have to be perfect. (A better solution would be to add a radius option for rounded squares/rectangle, via code of course)

Yeah, then you could choose how rounded shapes are

And maybe the ability to round all shapes

I know, right?

It still seems rounded to me

Which one? The top post or my design?

As others said, this is currently how it works in Hopscotch.

I would love to see a block for setting width, height, and corner radius of a shape.

I’m adding [CLOSED] to the topic title, since this isn’t a bug. If you’d like to make it even clearer, it is possible to edit in some suggestions that were brought up here and add them to the OP.
