Hopscotch is fun!
But Hopscotch has a lot of bugs!
For example:When I was coding a game, the first rule of the game never worked!
(The other code did work).
Also, sometimes when you play a project, all images turn into a grey hopscotch ‘H’
If you got an annoying bug, please report it!
(Please ask me if you have any questions).
hey! bugs are reported in the bugs with hopscotch category, so we dont need a topic for them. Nice idea though!
Sounds like it’s related to this bug:
The current workaround is to just exit and re-enter.
Could you send a link? Maybe it’s your code that is causing the problem.
It’s already gone, apparently you just need to restart your device.
Also, I can’t log out for some reason!
first off, yes, hopscotch has some bugs. THT is a crazy small team and it’s absolutely fantastic what they brought to us and how they built a small inclusive and nice online coders community - just wanna remind you of these facts. have a little bit of compassion and never start your sentence like that please (:
about your game, 95% of the chance is that you coded it wrongly - it would help if you send a screenshot of the code, describe what you wanna do and describe whats instead been done. then, well be able to determine together whether its a hopscotch bug or in-game bug. (ofc, im not excluding the fact it can be a hs bug)
that H bug is actually known and simply exit and reenter to fix that. tmk, its not at all an urgent bug, you might need to wait a while to get that fixed
and last but not least, “If you got an annoying bug, please report it!” but in a seperate topic, not this one. @t1_hopscotch explained in the past that separate bug reports topics are highly appreciated because its a ton easier for them to track the bugs - firstly, they are separated in four different types of bugs (editor, player, community and explorer) and they only frequently visit the three first ones. secondly, THT is able to describe the bugs with easy-to-add tags (#crashing, #data-loss, #visual, #accounts, #framerule, #notifications, etc). thirdly, they can let us know the status of the bug (#officially-reproduced, #high-priority and #in-development). and finally, its simply very easy to manage, that is kinda the summation of everything i said lol
welp, sorry for the long post, i got stuff to explain lol. anyways, if you catch a bug, feel free to create a bug report! (sbyp if possible)
(When I click ‘log out’ it crashes)
Ah, now I see it, thanks!
just so you know, an easy and temporary fix is simply delete that object, and directly add a blank TEXT object [1] and add the code showed in the picture. then, you’ll be able to code normally! :)
or you can add the block Set Size to 100%
, but it’s not ideal personally

aka without switching between characters, such as Bear > Text ← that will result in a bug ↩︎
