Replace the "move forward" block in draw a trail with a comment

apologies for the long title, im not that good of an explainer :>

So as you can tell, the Move Forward block that’s automatically put in the Draw a Trail block when place it should be replaced with a comment saying to “put a block that moves this object here” or something like that, to clarify to newer 'scotchers that you don’t have to use the Move Forward block for Draw a Trail only.

It’d be nice.

interesting idea

yes it would help clarify other options

It’s mainly done as an example so newcomers know what kind of block they can use. A comment wouldn’t give enough info.

Perhaps they should do this for Advanced mode like they did for trigonometry functions (sine, cosine, and tangent) (as in only have the functions on their own instead of also including the extra operators).

that’s kinda like, the point no?
there’s a good chance someone would misunderstand it and think only move forward can be used for it, since there isn’t much clarification

Well, I think it was put there to let them know it requires some kind of movement to draw anything. I would be nice to have a comment right before the move forward block to let them know about it. Sort of like they did for many custom blocks.

yeah but don’t those comments just explain what the blocks do?

this one would need to clarify that other stuff works, which is different
it would still be good though

True…

A good example could be:

# change the position of your character or object to draw a line
