Project runs faster when entered in editor bug

Just curious, why does it usually run around 60 FPS?

60FPS is considered to be smooth, and most displays are 60Hz refresh rate. It’s just a standard

I went to Bear’s Adventure, and followed your steps to make the bug happen again. And it worked, the project was way faster than before.

don’t think I’ve experienced this exactly, but I have noticed while coding music that projects in general run slightly faster in the editor.

Hmm, I wasn’t able to reproduce this…the game played for me at normal speed. If anyone uncovers any additional steps that make it reproducible, please let me know!

usually if a game is large, it happens more often

Yes, I do know of a consistent way to reproduce this:

  1. Press the play button on a project that takes some time to load
  2. Press the edit button before it finishes loading.
  3. Press play again, and it plays at twice the framerate.

@Elizabeth another bug that causes projects to run faster than they normally should is low power mode. On my iPhone, turning on low power mode while a project is playing causes frame rate to drop, yet the project seems to run around twice as fast. For some reason if low power mod is on when you enter the project, it’s fine. But if you turn it on whilst the project is running it freaks out.

I didn’t see this before but the reason for that is low power mode restricts the amount of performance used to maintain more time in your battery

Yesterday I was working on a platformer and when i’m playing the speed goes (i think) to 2x.

It happens to me many times, not only yesterday.

Does this happen to you?

It happens when you tap edit on a project that is still loading. Low Power Mode can also cause this to happen.

Yup, my soar 3 project was running supposedly at 120 FPS lol

Had to push a quick update when it was reported awhile ago

Yes, this happens to me all the time, but only when I’m editing. Once it’s published it goes away for some reason.

Strange. I’ve never experienced this with my projects or anyone else’s, even in my drafts.
