1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened): I was entering one of my projects, and then the thingy popped up

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

I expected this to happen:
My project to be normal

But instead this happened:
The thingy popped up

Here’s a sweet screenshot:

Yea I know this bug report is bad :
I SBYP and didn’t find anything

Maybe you clicked the “…” button too quickly before entering the project?

When you mean the “things” do you mean the one in the top?

This happens a lot, but when it does, I just re start HS and it’s fine.

You should be able to just tap cancel/the surrounding screen and it should go away. If it doesn’t, just swipe out of Hopscotch and go back into the app.

To reproduce this problem you:

  1. Click the project to open it
  2. Before the project opens press the 3 dots button at the bottom right of the project
    This is what happens

Ahh yes this is a bug

Just restart hopscotch and it will be fine

Your description was too vague.

Click on the project you want to open, but while it loads, click on the 3 dots on the project card, and the menu should appear on the Home button on the editor.

Ooh, interesting. This is a minor bug but I hope that THT can fix it.

Is it me, or has anyone noticed the “clear variables “ button on the side…?

Never seen it before—what does it do?

If you’re using user variables or playing a project with them, then you have the option to clear those variables values for you.

So I have another one but no screenshot…
There is a bug that makes it look like the editor is still there but it is not and you are in the player mode

very common bug.

Yes very but very funny

Wait I just realized there is a iPad 7? Or do you mean iPad 6 pro?

Odd, the second picture happens commonly for me. You just need to restart your device and it’ll be A-Okay. :))
