Really weird… and I’m guessing it does work on a smaller resolution then?
Maybe my whole project is broken; I could try making a new one

probably
you could
Okay so it works… now I’ll apply the resolution change through an iTunes transfer…
Beautify the file, change the resolution to something smaller (128 by 128)…
Readd the json_projects folder, swipe out HS…
Ayyy it worked!
Now lemme do the same thing in 3840 by 2160…
Black screened. Hm
So yeah it might be a performance thing? I’m not really sure obviously, haha.
It might be worth noting that the iPhone 8 resolution is 375 by 667.
Why don’t you use this shortcut to download projects from this editor? It’s much easier doing an iTunes transfer every time.
That sounds useful! Here’s an error I’m getting when trying to run it:
I don’t think it’s even asking me for an input or anything.
You click “save” from the web editor, then that shortcut gets run automatically.

Ohh okay cool! Thanks!
Doodle jump robot should be the next doodle jump game on top games.
I was wondering - do you think it’d be possible to implement a resolution change block to change that internal resolution variable whenever, or is that beyond the capabilities of block hacking?
internal as in stage width/height?
Yep, that’s what I mean
I’d have to add it as a custom webplayer action, but it does seem that I can change stage size mid-game
That would be great! It’s cool to think about having the option to change the resolution of the game so you can play on an iPad and an iPhone
It seems pretty finicky right now since I’m just messing around in the browser console, but maybe that could materialize.
Gotcha. I’m not sure if resolution changes only on loading the project (since idk if resolution would automagically reapply even if you changed the variables for them) - that’s really the main issue I can imagine. But other than that, maybe it could work, I dunno.
I did the modifications mid game though; it’s just that things aren’t rendering properly after sometimes
Ah, sad. I guess it could be because the coordinate plane changes? (I mean I guess that’s a pretty broad reason.) I’m not sure.
I think I just need to fire the draw to canvas events, but I’m not entirely sure. I think it’s definitely possible.
nope, just gives the default one
(its cool to meet you! i’ve always admired your decks )
hows it working? And aren’t hopscotch dimension usually have of the device demsnions? Like an ipad is 2096 in width but on hopscotch its 1024
