Open this if your new here and need advice/help
Welcome to the HS forum. Your probably familiar with the app, but not here. So, I’ve found some things to help you out. I found some help for new people, but I’m not regular, so i cant move it to FAQ. If your wondering, Regular is a trust level that lets you edit posts. But you have to be very frequent on the forum
The Newbies Guide to Hopscotch
What does the "trust level" mean?
Also, check out the FAQ topic for more stuff! And now for a few tips
Tag discobot (here, in the bookmarks where it gives you the tutorial, or wherever else you can. Just don’t spam tag discobot here).
(How to tag: @(user’s name)
search up your question- it could have been asked before!
play around with text formats or check out the gear icon when making a post. You can even create a poll- it can be helpful!
If your here to help someone new
Thanks for coming here to help newbies. Put links to helpful topics, or give advice! If they tag discobot in this topic, let them see what discobot can do. Just make sure they don’t spam tag him!
If your new, I hope you enjoy using the forum. It can be helpful! If your here to help, thanks. Show users around, or help them out! I know @tankt2016 will help (they help out new users a lot, I know she knows a good topic for newcomers).
Enjoy using the forum, everyone!
@omtl (sorry if this is the wrong topic to tag this, but people CAN contribute to this) (Also if you were tagged again it’s because I edited this, sorry for that)
And now the most helpful advice in this whole thing, from tankt2016. U huge thank you to them:
Click the arrow on the quote to go to the post. There’s a bunch of info in it.
General Topics have a seperate topic now, in #gt. Your General topic goes there at one per user until it is full.
The pomtl is for projects and gts, while the omtl isn’t. Check their guidlines for more info.
If you have questions, ask here or search it up.
Please don’t tag the omtl or pomtl here, I tagged the omtl already.
When you start, you don’t have many tools. After a while, you should get a badge that lets you do stuff most people on here can do- the basic tools. This means you got member. It doesn’t take too long, just stick around a while.
Also, if your wondering how to get regular, you have to be on for a few months- and be active. You can also loose regular if you get it.
Anyways, enjoy using the forum!
