Player off-center

What kind of device are you using?: iPad Mini

1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened): I was testing my unpublished project and the player was off-center.

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

  1. Open an unpublished project.
  2. Play the project.
  3. Rotate the device while the spinning wheel is showing.
(That’s what I did, but not sure if it does it everytime.)

I expected this to happen: the project to play normally.

But instead this happened: the player was off-center and cut off at the bottom.

Here’s a sweet screenshot:

(I took the picture of the device itself because I can’t do a real screenshot.

You can do a screenshot with any iPad / iPhone by pressing the sleep/wake (power) button and home button simultaneously, or the top button (power button) and vol up button on devices that do not have a home button…

Or was a screenshot not compatible on your device?

Could you make the background white?

A lot of people don’t know the inner secrets of the iPad. And you’re welcome…

That would definately help!

Also, if you have assistive touch, which you can turn on from Settings > Accessibilities > Touch > AssistiveTouch, open its menu > Devices > More > the screenshot is one of its options (top right). It’s also the much easier option…

I made it light gray and a real screenshot. This is what it should look like though.

But what does it look like?

It’s basically cut off from the bottom and offset from the center…

Like it’s properly fit to the screen and isn’t cut off at the bottom.

No like it would help if u showed us what grey would look like with the bug

I was trying to recreate it when I took the screenshot.

Maybe the bug isn’t consistent, then…

It’s consistent. Just have to rotate the moment it finishes loading.

That’s extremely difficult to pull off, but you managed to do it…
