[Paste|Help] menu does not show up, when tapping above Else

1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened): Was trying to paste a code but Paste|Help menu does not show up

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

  1. Copy a code
  2. Paste it in one of the following situations
Check if
Repeat Times
End
// HERE
Else
End

Check if
Check if
End
// HERE
Else
End

Probably more situations but the idea is that you cant paste between below the end of a first container and above the end of another container

I expected this to happen: can paste

But instead this happened: cannot

Here’s a sweet screenshot/video:

Funny how it only happens in check if else blocks…

Also happens in public version (3.54.2)

I’ve been able to reproduce this too.

It shows the Paste menu if I long-press in this spot. But it should indeed show both the Paste|Help menu, also when I double-tap in that spot.

It seems to happen for the empty spot above Else, whenever there is code in the first part of the “Check If Else” container.

Actually I think it happens even when the Check If Else is empty:

or more generally between two container blue lines (from if/else containers or from repeat times)

I think it doesn’t have to be a Repeat times — it can be any block like Move Forward. It just has to be before the Else block.

Here the menu doesn’t show up either:

If you were using an iPhone you could update to iOS 16 and maybe that would fix it… uhmmm this isn’t a good answer heheh sorry…

Yeah, it’s not caused by iPadOS software. In fact, iPadOS might be causing more problems for Hopscotch than anything because I don’t know if Hopscotch was made to be compatible with this version…

^^ adding to that, updating to iPadOS 16 does not fix the issue.

Wait wuuut? Is that even out yet?? :smiley:
If it is I will be very happy
