A feature i’d like to see in hopscotch is Open Source Code Libraries, where you can share custom blocks that can be downloaded and added to the default custom blocks you get. This way, new Hops can learn the blocks and more advanced code from others easily! This idea was:
This is definitely something we are trying to work towards, and it is what we meant by community garden. It would help a lot with code sharing!
However I don’t want to get people’s hopes up on the timeline at the moment, because there are some factors that will impact it. (There’ll probably be more news on it later when it arises)
There aren’t hidden features, but the current beta has been part of a preparation for it
Ok ok this might be controversial bc every idea I suggest seems to be and this is one I definitely think will be debated, but I thought it might be interesting. Maybe seed devs or people who apply to a program can sell packaged code for seeds that is complicated and it could be widely used. There isn’t much to do or incentive for seeds so why not? People could still sell them for free just an option for really complex mechanics that took a long time.
But the code could be copy and pasted anyways soooo idk
