Purple math or mathisfun. When I didn’t want to watch my math teachers vids I’d read these websites for basic knowledge

Khan Academy is one of the best that i know of
If your school has any math textbook i would definitely look at thoughts

• read through the entire lesson 2 or more times
• do many practice problems
• Go to each lesson and do problems from each lesson
• read the example problems and try their method (Do your teachers methods as well!)

teachers often use problems from your textbooks and problems yall have done

Do all the problems 2 times and check using methods

So, I’m trying to make a game where you draw parabolas, because I love parabolas, but I don’t know how to get the code where the lines are really straight. I’m not sure if this is the right topic, but as the game is about parabolas (maths) and I’m assuming the code has loads of maths, does anyone know how to get the code?

Code for a parabola?

A parabola is a function, so you will input an x value and the result will be a y value.
Off the top of my head, the code should look something like this:

``````Set (📱x value) to 312
Repeat 100 times
Draw a trail color ⚫️ width 5
Set position x (📱x value) y (((3)x((📱x value)^2))+(📱x value)+(250))
Increase (📱x value) by 2
``````

You can play around with the numbers to make it look like you want, but the important part is that the x value is a steadily increasing variable while the y position is set to the standard form for a quadratic equation: ax2+bx+c
a controls how narrow or wide the parabola will be (and whether it opens up or down)
b will move the parabola horizontally
c will move it vertically
The original set block for the x value will be where the left side starts
The number by which you increase x will determine how quickly the parabola will draw
