New Discourse update?

I saw some little things are different

  • orange confirm button instead of teal when you cancel a post
  • new layout in Preferences
  • new badge(s)
  • automatic re-opening of topics after cooldown period

I wonder what else there is if there is anything else :upside_down:

I noticed that now the text on tags are black, not white like they used to be

Oohh yeah I noticed that too, it seems when you are at the top of a topic, they’re white but they turn black as you scroll down.

(I admit what I’m probably looking forward to the most next is that they’re planning to add support for more emojis… :sweat_smile:)

I think there is this:

  • automatic re-opening of topics after cooldown period

which I think will help a lot with our worries of topics being closed.

I thought it was a setting that moderators could change. In your “feelings and ideas for the forum” topic, I remember Liza mentioning changing the number of flags needed to hide a post, or something like that. She might’ve turned on automatically opening topics as well.

Ooh yeah, I remember that too – changing the number of flags needed to close a topic. I think I saw that automatic reopening was one of the new features in the list for Discourse so I was guessing it had just come up now :thinking: either way, I’m glad it’s here hehe :upside_down:

Oh I had seen it in the Discourse 1.8 feature list :smiley:
