Movement and Basic Looks and Sounds!
Okay!
Movement!
Some basic Hopscotch movement blocks:
Move Forward (100)
This tells your object to move in the direction it’s facing by the number written in the white block (in this case, the parentheses)
Cool tip! The length of the squares in the editor grid is 50!
Turn (90)
This tells your object to turn a certain number of degrees. (The parenthesis)
Cool tip! If you need to turn to a certain position that makes a right angle, turn 90 degrees.
Change X by (100
This tells your object to move sideways.
Cool tip! To remember the difference between X and Y, remember this joke: why did the bear cross the road? Because someone changed his X ba dum ch
Change Y by (100)
This tells your object to move up and down.
Cool tip! Even if you turn, you still move up and down when using CYB(100). But be careful! If you use move forward, you may not move the way you want.
Flip
This tells your object to switch from facing left to facing right, or vice versa
