@omtl @fearlessfriends, hello,

there seems to be way too much confusion about creating collabs and I’m not quite sure what’s happening with that but here’s a guide. for it to be done correctly, you have to do it this way

  1. go to https://forum.gethopscotch.com/c/collaborations-and-beta-testing/115
  2. click + Create Topic in the top right corner
  3. fill out the form that pops up in the reply box in its entirety
  4. if you do not want an unlist, you may put a line below the form and then type out the topic’s OP, with a message to us to delete anything you want gone. we’ll do this when approving but you cannot delete the form yourself or you will have to remake and redo it

we can and do move topics that were created incorrectly, but that is a pain for everyone involved so if you could please follow this procedure, that would be amazing.

if you think this is a lot, no worries! just bookmark this post and reference it whenever youre thinking about making a collab/beta topic

There are badges with description but ones without. Are the ones without description only on the hopscotch forum?

The ones that don’t have descriptions are special badges. Like the leader/community comps, seed developer badges, welcome team badges, etc are special badges because they are manually awarded

how does the seed dev program work? and how do you get in it?

It happens at fall and they do the program.

There would be a post made to apply for it. If you are a child (0-17) then you need parent permission and one of their signatures. If you are an adult then you don’t need your parent to sign.
Before 2020 the seeds were handed out to some people before the program.

wait so what do you do in the program? like do you just get the badge and seeds or is there something you have to do? also why would you need parent permission

You need parent permission because you have requirements, due dates and ‘training’ and that’s what all the ‘top games’ are, the sdp projects, which are what you make
