am i allowed to create a topic about earth limits [1] in #community:multimedia? it’s a documentary written by me and it will last 9-12 weeks (because there are 9 earth limits). I’m doing this because i want to sensibly as many people as i can so id really really appreciate that i can create a topic there :D

I’m kinda curious so can you explain to me what you mean by “Earth’s limits”? Do you mean how much we can pollute the Earth without us going through an extinction event? Or since there are 9 of them, the different ways we could impact the Earth to cause one to happen? If you’re even talking about that at all, which is why I’m asking lol

climate change (which is the most popular), biodiversity destruction (also pretty popular), ocean acidification, ozone layer destruction, nitrogen cycle, phosphorus cycle, pure water cycle, change in ground use, aerosol pollution, and chemical pollution
(just so you don’t worry too much, we havent reached all of the 9 limits yet)
ill go through all other them one by one and explain how almost each one is linked to others
the other reason why i want to do this is that i was extremely frustrated we only study this in 10th grade, which does not make sense at all (and they are pretty easy to understand! ._.)

Could be possible if you provide some more information:)) What form is the documentary in? (project, video, text etc.) Is it going to connect to Hopscotch in any way?

unfortunately no, but if it’s required, it’s super easy for me to connect it with hopscotch - simply giving small prizes (~10 seeds?) for the best projects that sum up planetary boundaries
now that I’m thinking abt it, this can go in both #community:multimedia (its science) and #random-stuff:writers-nook (I’m writing (lol))

@William04GamerA, if the intern discussion hasnt started yet, then i’ll create a topic in #random-stuff:writers-nook and code a hopscotch project with it. if the discussion has already started then im okay to wait :)

We started a discussion on it. If you’re adding the project for the parts, it’s fine! Code each part and link that so it sticks to the writer’s nook theme. You could also include “solution” type things that connect back to coding/engineering/design. Things like how we can help or how we can apply skills you learn through HS/coding to solve big problems like these. But it sounds like you have an idea for how to make it more HS related already:)
