Discourse does have the setting to turn it off, but it will change the default site-wide. So it would depend on the preference of the majority of forum users.

That does make a lot of sense! Iâm pretty fine using the text thing @/NTh3R mentioned, but maybe if more ppl express a dislike there could be a vote or smth. I understand itâs a smaller issue though , if you can even call it an issue at all. Pretty fine with the alternatives offered by ppl :)

Well, this is kind of a long story. But in short â
Google Sites was banned in 2019, so I wanted to create my own GitHub page. I made things like the HS Help Guide and the filter checker on there, as well as a place for short clips.
Then, @/AwesomeOnion released some public API endpoints that I could use to get data from Hopscotchâs servers. I knew I wasnât always on my iPad when I wanted to browse HS projects, so I spent a day to get a basic prototype working where I could access the HS community from the web.
After that, I could access other user profiles and search for projects, and at that point @/AwesomeOnion noticed it, (had some discussion with the team?, and apparently the team began using it regularly?!), then asked if I would be willing to work with them to make it official, and here I am today. Itâs a crazy story that really proves Hopscotchâs mission to spread the power of coding!
Nope! It was when I was in a meeting when they discussed new leader apps, and they encouraged me to apply. So, in fact, it was the other way around! (Although, I did have mod status so I could create announcements in the right category)

The forum settings still check some things when we set usernames (even if weâre mods) ;), so it wouldnât technically be possible to do a change like that.

i think all religionic posts on hopscotch should be banned, why should that stuff be on the app it makes me uncomfortable i can eleborate if needed

Yeah unfortunately not everything can be automatically filtered out. If certain projects are very problematic, donât hesitate from flagging them

ok thank you like i have no issue with holiday posts those are fine
but imo i think its not good to have controversial stuff on the app since its for kids iykwim this includeds all religi0ns and atheism and stuff like that
i remember there was a user talking about s*tanism and what they said was questionable
plus i saw someone w a holy book study club which is peculiar like that should not be on a kids coding capp
and ppl who say stuff like that are strange since religous books can be misinterpreted by some people like people who say certain love is wrong or ethncities
