Hey, ask them to sign up with their email again and we’ll make sure he’s approved. I had deleted the account when I saw the IPs were the same

What is an ip?

It’s basically a way we can tell where the account is being created at. When the IPs are the same they typically mean they are coming from the same location or device

YALL KNOW WHERE WE LIVE!??!!

Ahh probably location because we are using different devices.

They probably don’t store that.

Yep. System flagged it and I deleted it and it’s how we typically determine wether it’s an alt account or not

An IP provides only an approximate location, and moderators have signed an agreement to keep this information private.

Yep and we never store this information ever nor is it ever used and only used to determine alt accounts

Ok that’s what I thought because hopscotch is very serious about privacy.

Of course! You should not be worried at all.

We would never put any of you guys in harms way.

Also to answer your question about how long it takes to get users approved is that it depends on the moderators and admins. We can approve new accounts and once they are approved they are able to use their account and reply

All mods (current and former) have signed NDAs that last a really long time, and no one ever breaks that trust, documented or otherwise, because THT picks mods for a reason and everyone that is, has been, and ever will be a mod, is completely trustworthy to them. No one selected would ever or has ever breached that trust. Everyone working at or with THT understands and emphasizes the importance of privacy
