This event/competition/challenge is started by me (@KayStarot) and all the currencies, rewards, and prizes are handled by me, not Hopscotch. You can find other similar self-started events in Competitions & Events, or even start one yourself. Because this is started by me, Hopscotch and the forum leaders are not involved or responsible in any of the transactions here.

Hello Everybody!

Welcome one and all to the KayStarot Monthly Art Comp!
Partially inspired by the ancient Natural Art Club from @/Serenity… I bring you my art competition.

So how does this work?

Well… every month there is a prompt. Anybody can do the prompt. And at the end of the month 2 “winners” are picked based on a multitude of different criteria (that’ll change based on the prompt but I’ll let you know what it is). Then the next month’s prompt is released and the whole thing starts over again!

Judging and Prizes

A bit of a controversial choice here but… I am going to be doing the judging. I will add that I will be following the ‘rubric’ or criteria that I set up at the beginning of the month. AKA I ain’t just voting for the “prettiest” or whatever. (And the criteria wont be something like “draw at the level of a professional and you win” that’s lame)

Prizes will be administered by me! If you were wondering why my commissions have taken a pause… here’s a big reason why! As there are 2 winners for the month the prizes are equal…
you get free drawing/art request!
(My standard commission rules kinda apply… let me know what you want (provide a pic if you can) and let me know if you want it as a profile pic style or just as arts :D cause yeah…)

ADDITIONALLY there will be a fan favorite vote open to everybody to vote for their favorite of the month. This winner will receive something special but I won’t say what it is… yet…

June Prompt!

The Great Seas

Draw something that makes you think ocean, seas, etc! It could be pirates, deep sea creatures, the beach, anything that makes you think sea!

I’ll make the criteria simple for this one as it’s the first one but here it is for this month!

Judging Criteria

• art contains the color blue somewhere in the piece
• art follows the prompt

These will be due before 2024-06-30T06:00:00Z
