If (Clone Number) is tapped, pressed, bumped, or touched

A feature I’d like to see in Hopscotch is:

A clone identifying method for the ‘tapped’ ‘pressed’ ‘bumped’ etc.

I’d use it for this type of project:

I just finished making a project with a bunch of clones and this would be useful for identifying a certain clone.

Here are some examples of Hopscotch code that could be improved if we had this:

You could easily see if a clone bumps another clone without having to have a variable labeling each clone, then setting another variable to show if it bumps a clone.

Here is an example design I’ve made:

I’ve seen something similar in another programming languages, it looks like this:

I haven’t seen this anywhere but it probably is out there

  • We should have this in Hopscotch
  • Never occurred to me, but good idea!
  • I don’t think Hopscotch needs this idea.

Sic idea! We definitely need this, and i can remember specific times I’ve really wanted this feature implemented, to make life easier.

I want this pretty much every time I code with clones!

Here are some more photos of designs I have made  :

It would be easier than having to check if clone index is a certain number, though I think it should say (Object Clone) because text can also count as an object.

Ok, but what if there is multiple clones?

Shouldn’t really matter if the clones are the same appearance of the original object. Plus, it would have the same function as Clone Index.

Maybe have two input fields: one for specifying the object, and the other for specifying its clone index

That’s a good idea :+1:

There’s a lot of topics like this

But making another one just raises awareness lol

Yes, and more specifically, any time you reference any object.

X position of clone 2, clone 2 tap, etc.

A whole new addition to the object tray thingy
