HTML in Hopscotch

HTML In Hopscotch

@Liza, @Rodrigo, @Montoya. Is it possible to make a segment of hopscotch or a new app to teach HTML? I think it would be good to have people know two kinds of coding, scratch and HTML. I really hope you consider it. I have been looking forward to making games with HTML but have not found anywhere I can do it. Please consider this.

Scratch?

Scratch coding is the kind of coding you do in hopscotch.

Sounds like a really awesome idea!

It is actually called block coding, scratch is a whole other company.

The idea sprang from an already existing programming tool, Scratch, where the user drags blocks into scripts in succession to create a script. This is found much easier by children than typing out the code manually like other programming languages tend to use. Though the developers wanted to take a step back from Scratch and make it slightly easier to grasp to ability to use, therefore removing many blocks and adding some of their own in hope to make it easier to use.

Look under software development @waddlemarco

It is the same idea as scratch.

I use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sometimes and I totally agree with this

I want to learn JavaScript. It is the most used coding language.

To learn JavaScript, look up SoloLearn on the App store

Is there anything online? Maybe w3schools will help me...

Sololearn is online too

I've tried bought about this too!

I'd love if we could do similar coding for HTML in SetText blocks, like we do here.

Okay!

Umm not to sound rude, but it's Hopscotch, scratch and HTML are other companies that created that.

I think scratch is a form of coding not a company:blush:

Although Scratch.mit.edu is what inspired hopscotch, they are still very different.

Go to this website and scroll and check the box "typing." Find one that has JavaScript

If you want to learn HTML and Javascript, Codecademy is a great website, and it's where I started learning coding! I'm not sure if THT has the time to make and maintain another app
