You might have been seeing more music projects in Hopscotch. That is if you follow @Follow4LikesOfficial(Anonymous [?]), me (CV Studios), or @Snoopy (Snoopy). (Not counting @MagmaPOP's random tune)

Anyways, if you want to join the trend, you might want to read this first.

You don't have to be knowledgable about music. You don't need to know what "flat" is or "major" is. Just follow your instinct. All you need is:

A song in your mind (unless it's an original).
A notepad
A pencil
Your BASIC knowledge about music (Do Re Mi Fa So... Etc.)
Your knowledge about the "Start Sound" block and how to use it.

Anyone can do it! Trust me! After you read this, you'll be one of us in NO TIME.

Beginners

For a start, you may want to experiment the notes for a minute. When you tap different notes, you get different sounds... There is the lowest note,C Sharp5, and the highest, C' 6.

Anyways, then you got timings. In a music sheet, you have this called a Quarter note, Half note, blah blah blah...

for this part, you might want to experiment the timings as well.

Novice

Time to get your first song!

You might wanna say "ALRIGHT! LETS DO -insert your favorite song's name-!!"

Na-a-a... Let's start with something simple.

Put the note the following notes into a rule of an object.

B A G A B B B
A A A
B B B
B A G A B B B
A A B A G

If you have noticed... That's "Mary Had a Little Lamb".

Remember to put those notes on separate sound blocks.

Now for the timings...

For every note, put 250 milliseconds.

You may have noticed I put those notes in different lines. The last note of every line, leave the notes as 500 milliseconds.

After you do that. Listen to what you made....

Ain't that good?

Once you mastered that, you can now move on to making your favorite music!

YAY!
