How to create super fast backgrounds!

Hi there, welcome to my tutorial on super fast bgs. I made this Bg on one of my accs.
Okay, so first we need get the secret block “destroy object” you can get this through a variety of ways, but I suggest @Awesome_E s method. You need secret blocks if you want the Bg to be super fast, but it will work, but be much slower without them.
How to Do it with the secret blocks

Create a new project. Create a blank text object, by selecting text form the editor, and pressing the tick button without writing anything. You should see a blank editor in front of you. Scroll along until you see something saying When Game Starts click this and the when game starts menu should Pop up. Add the secret block *create a clone of this object times”. Then enter the formula ((iPad width)+(2). Your screen should look like this:

Then add the rule: when object is cloned, inside this, insert various blocks, here’s a screenshot.

And here’s the rest of the code:

You can mess around with the HSB numbers a bit, so go ahead, fluke it. Try and make a nice gradient back ground.

How do do it without the secret blocks.
Doing it without the secret blocks still works, it’s just much slower.
Basically, it’s just the previous instructions without the secret blocks:

I hope you manage to create some cool backgrounds, but if something goes wrong, tag me @Bugsy345.

Another way to create super fast backgrounds without secret blocks is something like this:

where clones25, clones5, and clones are custom rules. If this is still slow, you can just put 5 clones25s inside of a new rule called something like clones125.

That’s an interesting method for sure!

Also, very cool topic and tutorial @Bugsy345! :+1:

Cool!

(Note that it will only work in the beta editor.)

No, you can get the destroy object block from AE’s shortcut. And the Create a Clone Times block too.

Indeed, that’s most definitely been noted

(Although AE’s shortcut would work :face_with_raised_eyebrow:)

Note that this technique was all before the Beta Editor. Please check your sources next time.
