How To Code Art (Pixel, Shape, Bg And somewhat regular)

#1

Hello! I know I have made a lot of topics recently, but I want this one to have a purpose. Ask anyone for art tips, trail art tips, and coding backgrounds. Thank you!

Cool, though this could go in the drawing topic or the general discussion topic…

Oh… I’m sorry I know my trust level is already a member but I still have very little experience with the forum… I don’t really know how to do that…

This coulda gone into the dt or GDT, but I’ll let you have it in random stuff on the condition that you give pixel art, trail art, shape art and bg etc tips mainly. Deal?

Oh wait, you already changed the title (I was about to do it) but thank you!

And this will stay focused on shape and pixel art, thanks for the idea!

For pixel art, there are many different ways to make pixels.

Regular pixels

[Draw a trail (color) width (pixel size)]
[Move forward (1)]
[Move forward (-1)]
[/Draw a trail]
[Move forward (pixel size)]

Sqaure pixels

[Draw a trail (color) width (pixel size)]
[Repeat (4)]
[Move forward ((pixel size) / (4))]
[Turn degrees (90)]
[/Repeat]
[/Draw a trail]
[Move forward (pixel size)]

Or:
When game starts
Set pixel size to :15:
Repeat times :pixel size:
Create a clone

When object is cloned
Set position to X - original object x Y - original object y - self clone index
Draw a trail color black
Set position to X - self x position + pixel size Y - self y position

Or

When game starts
Clone object (Pixel Size) Times
End
When game starts
Set (Pixel Size) to 10
End
When Object is Cloned (Depends on if you’re making a square pixel art)
Set position X 0 Y 600 - Clone index
End
When Clone index smaller than 12
Check once if Clone index is bigger than 1
Draw a trail color (Black) Width (1)
Set trail color Blue
Set position X self X position + (Size) Y self Y position
Set trail color Orange
Set position X self X position + (Size) Times 2 Y self Y position
End
End
End

Actually it’s
When game starts
Set pixel size to :15:
Repeat times :pixel size:
Create a clone

When object is cloned
Set position to X - original object x Y - original object y - self clone index -1
Draw a trail color black
Set position to X - self x position + pixel size Y - self y position

That’s how u do it…

The self clone index -1, is because a clones clone index starts out at 2.

No, it starts at 1
You subtract the 1 to have it start at exactly the y pos desired

I mean the first clone is clone index 2. (That was really unclear looking back)
