Hopscotch Winter 2022 and New Year 2023 Contests

Hey Hopscotchers,

We’re having two contests running this winter!

#Winter22

Code a project featuring the winter characters, and publish with the hashtag #winter22

The best projects will be featured during the week of Christmas, and the winner will receive 200 seeds!

The deadline will be 22nd December 2022 at 5 PM EST.

#NewYear23

To welcome the new year, you are invited to make a project or game about:

Anything with the theme of new year
What you most look forward to in the new year
A retrospective of what you’ve done in the past year

To submit, publish your project with the hashtag #NewYear23.

The deadline will be 31st of January, 2023 at 5 PM EST. There will be two winners and they will each receive 200 seeds.

Just a note: you can’t submit the same project to both contests — we will only accept a unique entry for each contest.

Can you submit multiple projects? (to the same comp)

ik i won win because it would be unfair but if i add a christmas/winter update to one of my games can i add to to the hashtag (ik i can do it anyway but just so i dont use it incorrectly)

and does it need to be winter themed for the winter comp

We will judge 1 entry per person (If you submit multiple, we will probably choose 1 to judge, so it’s better to submit the one that you think is best.)

We’d prefer you make a new project for the contest, but you’re not prevented from updating and submitting an existing project.

It doesn’t have to necessarily be fully winter-themed — but the more wintry it is, the more it’d fit the competition theme better!

yeah, hashtag channels always get a lot of spam, no matter what they are for. most of it is people trying to get their game(s) noticed or liked.
