Hopscotch Premium Bug

What kind of device are you using?: iPad 6 Gen

1 sentence description of the problem (I was trying to buy Hopscotch Premium, but every time I pressed “buy”, it stopped and kicked me from the app.):

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

  1. Click “Upgrade”
  2. Click “Get your free week”
  3. Choose any plan and click “Start Your Free Trial”
  4. Enter your birth year

I expected this to happen: The pay now screen to come up

But instead this happened: It said “Whump! Something went wrong. Try again?”

What year did you enter? It might have something to do with your age

Maybe your device is simply not allowed to make in-app purchases (like how you are prohibited to do something)…

If it’s a device restriction it would say that purchasing on this device is restricted or not allowed

True, but their device could also be very old…

iPad 6th gen came out in 2018 so it can’t be that old

I am guessing you are on your school iPad… you need to have hopscotch be downloaded from App Store, not Self Service… if this isn’t a school iPad, then idk why then

I think you are right! We have probably solved it cuz Hopscotch is from Self Service :wink:
