yeah, THT has been taking action for a while actually, the situation is really hard to prevent fairly and without loopholes.

Well it feels like people are being set up though then. There is an art category, art pads, and a drawing with hopscotch topic. It’s confusing to try and stop the art community from sharing their work after all of that.

I know, but they NEED to add a block minimum.
Kinda like 10 blocks per object.
Or something like that…

Block minimums are sadly flawed, people can spam block and it supports not being efficient with code and some objects really don’t need 10 blocks.

there is mainly an art category because hopscotchers posted art in unnecessary places for a while and it got really spammy and such. it’s not like people only post art in #art, ngl.

art pads where made by the community, as long as there are the right blocks to do so, people can make anything in block-based coding. and I doubt it was hopscotch’s intention for art-pads, but they can’t remove trails all-together.

idk why the art topic was made tho, maybe for the same reason as the art tab in hs. people posted art in unrelated topics.

frankly, I think this a good idea. but a lot more blocks, maybe 100-250 lines of code?

of course, there are many good and relevant projects that have a quarter of that, as @StarlightStudios, it is flawed.

tbh, if someone manages to spam 250 lines of code just to make an un relevant project, they kinda deserve to post it. /j /sarc

True but there’s still a category for it, how are new users supposed to know that? They will just use art pads and post it there you can’t really blame them.

Why would Hopscotch feature art pads on Masterpieces then? Also, there’s a “Draw with a pen” custom rule designed for art.

There are a couple of coloring projects that I didn’t include because they aren’t art pads but it’s important to take that into account.

i didn’t feel like speaking up 'cause i’m kind of biased towards the hsac

in the hsac [at least, this is what it was like eight months ago, i hope it hasn’t changed since then] we all know the difference between spammers/remixers, hate accounts, people who just want attention, and people who actually post art for the art [i.e., actually in the hsac]. my favor lies in the latter, and i think hs could use a little less of all the others.

I think you’re missing my point

Let me ask you this to bring the conversation further, why do you think artists shouldn’t remix their hopscotch art even though there is a custom rule to make it easier, featured art pads in the highest most viewed category, a topic to post art in, tons of art pads in excellent and rising, topics on the forum to post art in, and art communities on hopscotch sharing their art (ex. hsac topic) freely on the forum?

art pads are also a really smart way to post art without getting reported for a clear reason. I just saw a really inappropriate drawing, and I reported it straight away, but when you go into the project the drawing wouldn’t save, so there is no valid inappropriate content.

you can write or draw anything in an art pad, no matter if it’s inappropriate content, personal information, or CoF and get away with it. the filter cannot detect profanity, inappropriate content or anything else through art. and the most frustrating, when you enter the project - there’s nothing there.

tbh, we are really digressing from the OP’s intention, so we should GBOT
