We’re really excited to announce that @SmileyAlyssa and @Madi_Hopscotch are volunteering for Hopscotch to help curate Featured! They are both long-time Hopscotchers who have shown a commitment to the community and its values. They will be on the lookout for fun, interesting projects to Feature, and welcome your help!

When you see a cool project, let them know tagging by @hopscotch-curators. The best place to do this is the Nominations for Featured topic: Nominations for Featured! - #8955 by HopscotchRemixer

A quick refresher on what we look for in Featured projects:

  • Projects that are fun to play
  • Projects that are well-designed and have an attractive screenshot
  • Projects that use innovative coding techniques and push the boundaries of Hopscotch
  • Projects that encourage remixing and give people ideas of things to make
  • Diversity of type of projects: if we just featured a game, we’ll look for art and visa versa
  • Diversity of creators: projects made by new or first-time Featured Hopscotchers

If you see projects that meet this criteria, please share them! And if you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

We hope that we’ll be able to have more Hopscotcher volunteers in the future, and will let you know when we’re looking.

Awesome! Congrats @SmileyAlyssa and @Madi_Hopscotch! I was thinking recently that we should have people similar to the Featured curators, except for the tabs like #games and #art!

That is a great idea! Congratulations to @SmileyAlyssa and @Madi_Hopscotch, I know that you both are awesome and will be super good as Hopscotch Curators!

@Liza As you now introduce curators, how will the forum be moderated as @t1_hopscotch isn’t a moderator anymore? Do you have any plans on that?
I am just curious and the community has wondered that too.
