Hopscotch Con Venue/Location Search

We kinda, sorta, you know, need actually a place to hold the convention.
Recently the places I saw in the polls that had the majority of people were:
- Around the New York Area (Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia)
- California. (It's a big state after all.)
- Florida (It's also a sort of big state.)
- Along the Wisconsin region. (Illinois, Minnesota)
D.C would be a general place to hold it, because it's basically the capital, but not many people live near there. It would be convenient for people who don't live in the U.S, since it's well-known.

I've found one venue in D.C that can accommodate 1000 people, and 500 overnight (for people who don't want hotels), but it looks super expensive.
Here's the link to it: http://www.uniquevenues.com/CUA

There was another one that stores 2747 people, but not overnight. It looks like a giant movie theater, but with some meeting rooms as well- http://www.uniquevenues.com/RegalGalleryPl

And then there's this one that stores 8,000 if we get a lot of people, but it's sort of a baseball stadium: http://www.uniquevenues.com/nationalspark

www.uniquevenues.com is a great website to look at. Just type the state you want and it gives you a list, along with information regarding it. :D To get a quote (money estimate), you probably need adult help.

Post links below, and more possible locations! :D All the ones above were located in D.C., but we might want to find some in New York.

What do you mean, you can't join?
Like you can't go to the convention, but you can plan?
Or no for both?
Or you can't plan, but you can go to the convention?

My church is at a movie theatre. What if we just talk outside of the movie "areas". What are the rooms where movies are played called again?

Maybe it could be an hour of code (or however long the convention will be of code)

They can hook their iPads up to the projector right? Then can't they just play from that?

Yea that's wat I was thinking

No, Just No.
You have to think about people who don't live in the U.S. and also that some airports are better than others. Somewhere like Atlanta, GA (Georgia) in the U.S. would be ideal since its more central on the world and has a streamline airport, albeit the biggest one, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). Who knows, I could be entirely wrong and this is actually a slightly worse place. Maybe Washington D.C. could be better. All I know is that Atlanta might just be better. Please don't take this harshly, its just a thought, a long one if you read to this point.

You seem pretty prepared! A thought though- what about the other people who dont live in the USA??
