So, since there’s been Hopolymics the past 2 years, I thought why not do it again? The concept is great, and it’s fun overall!
The way it works, there are 6 categories, and each “Country” will submit one project into each of the categories. The project will be judged with the others in that category and you get points for wher you placed. Last place gets 1 point, 2nd to last place gets 2 points, and so on. Whoever has the most points in the end wins!
The theme is something that represents your country
There can be up to 5 teams, each with 6 contestants-one for each category. Each team is suggested to have a topic so ideas don’t fly around. The teams will be named after countries. There is a limit of one project in each category, each by someone different, though they can get code help from their teammates. There are no leaders here, so this will be a team effort! If you steal someone else’s idea, then your team will be disqualified from the event! But, most important of all, is to have fun and learn some new concepts!
Team Canada (NEED BACKUP)
@GameCodingCrazy123 (Pixel Art)
@CoderOfMagic (Trail Art)
Team Greece (NEEDS BACKUP)
@tankt2016 (Pixel Art)
@sophia71205 (Trail Art)
Team Vietnexico (FULL)
@TheDeliciousOrange (Trail Art)
@PillowFace (Pixel Art)
If you break these, you will be disqualified from the event, or worse, depending of how serious it is.
- Be a good sport
- Have fun
- Don’t steal ideas
- No bribery, stealing, or hacking the judges or teams.
- Open source code that is FTU is allowed, with credit, and it can’t be from another team.
- Pixel Art is technically trail art if you use draw a trail, so it is allowed twice if used in trail form if wanted.
- For math, math blocks must be used at least 10 times for a purpose. Not just having a text set position 512 + 1.
I don’t know how many judges there would be to be honest, but I’m planning on 8 judges or seeing if the leaders can do it (most likely not now) You must be fair as a judge. This is a big responsibility.
As I stated, there are 6 categories. They are:
Project with the best use of clones (who can use clones the best)
Use of Math
The deadline is June 4th, plenty of time to code awesome projects! ALL PROJECTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THAT DATE AT 12 NOON EASTERN STANDARD TIME. If you finish but don’t post the link until after, it will NOT count.
omtl (Sorry if you didn’t want to be tagged) JUDGING IS FROM JUNE 4TH TO JUNE 10TH 12 NOON EST
