This could totally have potential! Just remember that for this to be its own topic, you need to add something that’s directly related to Hopscotch. I see you’re totally trying to take that approach, but since your site isn’t finished yet, it’s not clear what this project is for quite yet!
Is this for shop owners? Maybe you have projects you want to showcase on the site?
So yeah, I see your shop isn’t done yet–what are your future plans for it?
thanks for being a super enthusiastic and involved hop. however, we’ve had to remove your github links again because --although youve provided more details-- we’re still talking it over internally.
we also noticed that there’s a lot of personal information that can be accessed from the links you’ve recently shared, so regardless of the outcome of our discussion, you wont be able to share any more links until the personal information has been removed.
we’d appreciate if you did this as quickly as possible for your own safety
The reason why we’re hesitant to approve this is that the idea felt a bit redundant to some of the existing topics. We’re actually in the middle of reformatting our forum categories, so in the next few days, we will likely have a separate category for shops and requests, therefore making your GitHub effort less necessary because people will be able to access all the shops in an easier way.
The biggest concern we have here is the potential risk of communication outside of forum. Considering that this will be your first GitHub collaboration, having 6 collaborator will be hard to maintain in terms of outside communication. While we do allow Github collaborations and projects, we generally do not recommend people taking the collaboration on platforms outside of the forum if it can be done on the forum. I understand the concern over post-editing limits, but people can give Hopscotch updates by adding new posts to a topic. For the above reasons, I would like to ask you to work on your GitHub project by yourself for now and not post it on the forum.
I have sent you a PM about this, feel free to follow up with any questions you might have.
