Hi Hopscotch Forum, Rodrigo here!

Simple post for a big (but important) idea - I would love to see the addition of online projects as drafts! This would make it significantly easier to update big projects without needing to remix them. :)

At the moment, you can edit projects in one session at a time. If you want to take a break from editing, you can’t save your progress unless you upload it online. This makes it really tedious to add new features, especially on a big scale.

This is just a little plug for a big project we’ve been really thinking about lately.

Hi @Rodrigo, if you have time, you should check out the Hopscript topic! Essentially, it’s a project that converts script into Hopscotch blocks in the form of a JSON project. This would allow us to work with power user features like code generation, Git support, code libraries, and just generally being able to interface with Hopscotch from any platform.

So far, @Petrichor has been working hard on a prototype for that. The project is still in its planning/prototyping phase at the moment, but what he’s been able to make so far is really impressive!

We’d love to hear from you there if you have any thoughts. :)

Here is some pseudocode, just as an example (nothing is final):
