Dang man
Beta 58f is out now!
- Fixed a layering issue. The group labels in the tiles inventory will show up once again.
- Collectibles (including coins, keys, star fragments, etc.) will now shrink rather than grow when collected.
@Spy_Guy_96 (I did a test with only 2 rules in the entity tile collision thing, but it only gave me back 5 FPS)… and a full screen of coins take 15 FPS, even though they don’t have any tile based collision…
Another performance hog might be the Entity Collision System (where entities collide with the player), but I’m not sure how to condense those rules (and some have to be separate so specific actions occur simultaneously)…
Beta 58g has been released
- Updated the “Hopscotch Games” logo, which now includes the H logo.
- Updated the “Crosbyman64” logo to match my current one on the forum.
- Added the “Star Creativity Group” logo.
- Each logo now remains on the screen for 4 seconds as opposed to 3.5 seconds.
- Resized the Thumbnail to the stage size to fix an image corruption issue on the app caused by the previous one being the size of my large stage size (3180x2384)…
On second thought I can just remake it, with better quality images and an actual map and now that I actually own the game (I was just going off of images online) I can make it better.
Yeah I bet
Nice control layout. I see you used the Nintendo layout…
Most mobile games just use images that show what each button does rather than being a letter like the face buttons on gamepads, such as jump, attack, use, etc.
On Xbox controllers, the AB and XY are swapped.
Yep, very true
here is a one-day little project of mine
lmk if you want this to be a real game — already have plenty of other things to do so if so don’t expect it to be soon
It says the page doesn’t exist
ugh ok let me check filtered words
Ok fixed it!
guess what
i give up
i’m not gonna be working on my standard mode recreation of “freedom dive” it’s too hard :(
sorry i’m such a disappointment roadocean
You should be sorry /j
Maybe I should give it a shot? Could be fun lol.
Didn’t you already do Freedom Dive?
Yes, but not in standard mode.
good luck man you got this
I successfully did it, but there is one little detail you should know.
I made it work with a data string, meaning the project reads data from a string and then plays the notes it reads from the string.
The thing is that this string was generated using a external program, meaning I didn’t manually recreate the song in Hopscotch.
Also I haven’t actually published the project lol
