Unfortunately I can’t really attest as an example on the forum, but what you are saying is 100% true.

Life can be unfair, and so can the rules some times. This action of the forum, on the bright side, does prepare you for your future however. People aren’t as forgiving as they should be at times, and that’s really a shame.
