Free To Use Code

Hi guys! After a 2 year hiatus from the forum and a 3 year break from hopscotch, I decided to stop by real quick!

I coded a lot of different games while I was on hopscotch (some great, and some not so good :joy:) and since I donā€™t use the app anymore, I wanted to say that all my code is free to use! Feel free to use any code I used in my games in your own projects or remix my projects with your own spin on them. I know when I was first starting out, learning from other peopleā€™s code was very helpful.

I also just posted a free to use game template for a geometry dash type game (My hopscotch username is Bluedogmc). Itā€™s really basic, but if youā€™re a beginner it could be good practice to try to add to it or replicate the code in your own project!

Finally, Iā€™m not sure how active I will be on the forum/hopscotch but if you have any questions about how I coded something let me know and I will do my best to help you! Iā€™ve been on hopscotch for awhile and Iā€™m always willing to help when I can.

Awesome!
Hereā€™s some ftu code that I made the other day, you can use it to get an object to smoothly drag to where you press. Or to an object.

Combine that with the finger pointing system and youā€™ve got a spaceship.

I donā€™t want this topic to go to waste so Iā€™m going to continue to post the free to use code I make on hopscotch here! Feel free to also ask me for any coding help or coding questions here.

Newest project:

What this code does:
Basically, this is a simple project that uses sliders to customize the height and width of a character. You could also change this code around to really have it change anything about the character, such as invisiblity, size percent, color, etc. (I can help with this!)

How you could use this code in a project:
This could be used for any type of game that needs a way to customize a character. You could have these sliders appear on the screen to customize an objects height, width, etc and then have them be destroyed after the player is done using them to change the characters looks.

If anyone wants to be tagged when I post new free to use code let me know! (I promise I wonā€™t tag you too often, donā€™t worry!)

Cool!
Iā€™ve always wondered how to do sliders. I didnā€™t know it was this easy. This could be really useful.

Yeah! Iā€™ve though of a lot of different ways to use it in games but I havenā€™t had time to code anything big recently.
