This event/competition/challenge is started by me (@affogato) and all the currencies, rewards, and prizes are handled by me, not Hopscotch. You can find other similar self-started events in #competitions-and-events, or even start one yourself. Because this is started by me, Hopscotch and the forum leaders are not involved or responsible in any of the transactions here.

Lately I’ve come to realize how obsessed I am with Tetris… and therefore, this competition!

Rules

You can create art, a game, or really anything pertaining to Tetris! the possibilities are limitless!

but do remember to stick to the community guidelines!

Originality - Max 50 how original is the project? did you copy another project?
Creativity - Max 50 how creative is the project? is it bare-bones simplistically made, or is a lot of effort and thought put into it?
Relation to Theme - Max 100 does the game clearly have something to do with Tetris? or do you have to search for the Tetris theme?
Gameplay - Max 50 is the gameplay smooth, well coded, easy to understand? or does it feel rough, or confusing?
Visual Style - Max 50 is the game made with aesthetically pleasing graphics? or does it look simple and unappealing?

Can I submit more than one project?
Yes!
Can submissions win a prize in both categories?
No, but submissions can win first place in both their category and the overall category!

To clarify the 2nd entry in the faq section - a project could theoretically win first place in both the games category and the overall category, but you cannot submit a project for both the games and art categories.

yes! that would count as art jsyk, unless there was an actual playable element to it.

So for art basically would I be making something that looks like Tetris but isn’t? Like if you took a screenshot of the game but I draw it

yep! can be anything - the pieces, a fantasy world based on the game, human versions of the pieces - the only limit is your imagination! (and drawing or coding skills)

exactly! post it to the dht and link it here for drawn art or just link the project if it’s coded. you could even draw it in a hopscotch drawing pad!

((its actually more complicated than it seems, you need a custom details folder and a custom poll or something like that to fix it. just dont put it in a folder at the end imo))
