(Final round - open call) Help testing Hopscotch's next new feature!

October 25, 2022

We’re ready to beta-test the next version of Hopscotch on a larger scale! For this round, you will get an invitation to Testflight, and you will have a chance to help Hopscotch debug the upcoming version. The goal is to find bugs, and you won’t be asked to do an interview with us. If you’re interested, please sign up by filling out this form or email me directly with your Apple ID email!

Thanks to everyone who helped to test out the app before! We’re making changes based on the feedback we got from the tests last week.

Starting this 2022-09-15T04:00:00Z, we should be able to start a new round of testing. This means that you don’t have to have participated before to sign up. If you’re interested, sign up for a slot between 2022-09-15T04:00:00Z2022-09-23T04:00:00Z to help test out the new feature.

If you’ve already done it last week, this might not be the right appointment for you. I’m looking for people who’s never used the beta features before.

Here’s the sign up link: Calendly - Yuanyuan from Hopscotch

Let me know if you have questions!

Hey there,

You can be one of the first people to try out the next big feature from Hopscotch! To make sure that the beta test is accurate, I don’t want to say too much about the feature itself yet.

I’m looking for people who would be able to turn on their audio and share their screen (iPad or iPhone) via a video meeting with me (no camera necessary). You would need your audio on so that I can get real-time questions/feedback/comments throughout the process.

This test should not be longer than 20 minutes. You may get asked to code different things during this beta test (for example, you might get instructions to code certain things, or code along with an in-app tutorial. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, you can sign up if this is your day one at Hopscotch). Ideally, I would love to get people this week or early next week (before next Wednesday) for the first round of the beta test.

If you’re unable to make it for now, in about 2-3 weeks, we would need another round of beta testers who’ve not tested this feature before. So you can also sign up at that time!

If you’re able to do this, please sign up for a slot with me on Calendly or just send me an email!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot!

If you have any friends/siblings who’d like to try this out, please help to share the info!

They don’t need to have a Hopscotch account or have used it before.

This is mainly because I have other major responsibilities I have to attend to.

I’m excited to see the new feature(s) later in the year. I bet it’ll be epic with a hint of awesome (e).

Thanks for letting us know — note that the changes will not be final.

The webplayer had to be deployed for TestFlight, but they may not come out in the next release.

That makes sense, as it’s still a beta. And as far as I know, the changes in betas are usually not final.

Thanks for the info.
