I’m working on a new project called Fallen. It is highly based off of Undertale, and things are going well in the process. The game will have brand-new music, along with old music, and have a 2d world you can explore, with battles, items, acting, fighting, mercy, dialogue, heartbreaking, and even the Papyrus tile puzzle (@Crosbyman64)! I’m working on a project to get the basics done, with music and whatnot. It will be a separate project from the final version, and I’m still deciding if I should buy free custom images (for pixel art) with my 50 seeds, or if the final version should be just using hopscotch. For this, I’m gonna have to tag @omtl. Please tell me what I should do, and keep in mind that YOUR VOTE COUNTS! Be honest.
Should I use free custom images in the final version of Fallen?
Yes!
No!

You guys can also assist me with pixel art if I end up using images.
Would you like to be tagged for future updates in Fallen?
Yes!

Can anybody guess what boss this is? (It’s very easy to figure out) :0 @FTM_GG
yea, the game is super cool! i havent played undertale, so i dont really know what its about lol. @MarkerGames, maybe add a tutorial or an explanation or pre-text so the players can understand. also, to create less topics, maybe put all your project updates in one topic.
Yeah, the battle is heavily inspired by the ASGORE fight.
Also, btw Undertale has many insanely difficult attacks, and the game almost immediately ramps up a ton.
understandable, the game is super big, depends on the creator, i like everything packed up in an enormous topic. i hope to be a popular creator soon, so i want a single topic.
@ClownPig concerning your deleted post, and assuming it was posted here (able to see the post but not where it was posted lol), youve made so far pretty good progresses and if you continue in that direction an excellent is imo a fairly easy target - the design is super great and the gameplay so far pretty nice and comfortable :)
small detail, just a personal preference so you can ignore this line but if i was you id align the health bar to the left instead
thank you so much for the feedback, i posted it on my updates topic, im glad you think that i could achieve excellent. ill make sure to not get lazy on the gameplay and design as i get closer to the end, thanks!
Cool. Now all you need are items (because no one is going to be able to get through half the attack patterns without taking damage at least once), a damage indicator (to show the player how much damage they dealt to STARGORE), the heart breaking (and a game over screen) when the player loses all health, etc.
Feedback:
How attacks in most games work, they’ll put a line of path if the attack move very fast, or a large outline to show how big the attack will be (without these, players will say the attacks are unfair. Especially the dot explosion attack. Players would never expect a dot to appear right where they’re standing).
