Dissapearing code (OPEN)

1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened): I published my project but when I played it, lines of code were gone

Steps to make the problem happen:

  1. Publish a project
  2. Play the project
    ….

I expected this to happen: the project to play

But instead this happened: code dissapeared

That’s super weird. This has never happened to me before.

This has happened with trail art. Here is a link to another one that did this (just play it)

This happens to me too, but large chunks of code disappear.

This happened to me with a project I made with an old editor.

But I used the old editor and it sat in my drafts for 2 years before I published it so

  1. Describe the issue.
  2. When it started.
  3. What device do you use.
  4. What version of Hopscotch.
  5. Did you play a game in the community before the code disappeared.
  6. Did you download or saved your draft before closing the app.
  7. Would be great if you could send me a screenshot of your about page to hello@gethopscotch.com: Open Hopscotch
  • Go to your profile (tap “Me”)
  • Go the settings menu (tap the gear shift icon)
  • Choose “Help”
  • Tap “About”
  • Take a screenshot, and email it to me.

Hi @ana here is my response!

1. Describe the issue.
I published my project but once I published it and tapped on it to play it I saw that some features were gone. Once I did more investigation I realized that pieces of code were deleted from my published project.

When I published my project
3. What device do you use.
iPad iOS 12 , iPad mini with the home button that has finger print identifying (I’m not sure what iPad it is exactly, I cannot check right now)
4. What version of Hopscotch.
Newest version during March 24
5. Did you play a game in the community before the code disappeared.
No
6. Did you download or saved your draft before closing the app.
I did not close the app between publishing and playing the game
7. Would be great if you could send me a screenshot of your about page to hello@gethopscotch.com: Open Hopscotch
I have the screen shot but is the email hello@gethopscotch or help@gethopscotch?

I know I’m not Ana but hello@gethopscotch.com is correct.

I believe both emails work.
