I’m actually really afraid of heights, but I think if i could catch myself (by flying) that would help. Just flying seems really cool, not even just for transportation, but for recreation

From everyone else’s point of view, you’d seem to travel to another point instantly. From your point of view, you would be traveling through space and time (theoretically)

I guess if you can fly really fast (or move really fast like the Flash), then it’s kind of like teleportation. Except I guess teleportation implies that you can move all of your body without having the need to go through the space in between?

maybe its just mentally going through the space instead of physically; the clearer and more specific the image of the destination, the more accurate the teleport

Yeah, my superhuman character can travel at speeds of up to 72 million miles per hour (20,000 Miles Per Second), which is actually very fast.
There are lots of other things he can do due to his superhuman abilities.

ooh, I’d probably say teleportation. I don’t like flying over the ocean, so if I could teleport, I could go anywhere! It would also make it so much faster to travel. I could go somewhere 1000 miles away for the afternoon and still be back for dinner!

My answer is teleportation! Because that way, I’d be able to get wherever I want to in a much faster time than flying. I really want to and dream about exploring the world, so in one way, it would be amazing to be able to see it from a bigger perspective, but if I could teleport myself, I would be able to see a lot more things in a quicker time and thus be able to explore more of the world.

That reminds me of /tp in Minecraft and getting stuck inside blocks 
I would really like to fly and feel free! For me, it’s more about the freedom of movement, and being able to wheel around in the air, than getting to a particular destination quickly.

Half the fun of flying, for me, is being able to see things from way up high! Also if you’re in danger of falling, you could try to just fly up again.

It’s fun to debate the logistics of these powers
But if teleportation requires you to picture the destination, would it take a lot of effort to maintain that concentration to perform a move like wheeling around in the air? 
I suppose it would be like any other skill — you get better with practice so it doesn’t need to be a constant fear. Fear would arguably exist with any other skill, like you could have nightmares about teleporting yourself into the middle of solid rock.

I don’t mind heights, I love them actually, the scenery is beautiful and the airs always cleaner. I think that’s part of the reason I would love flying.
