Custom math/text blocks

A feature I’d like to see in Hopscotch is:

Custom block/rule type math blocks. You would give some variables as input and it would use them as variables inside of math blocks, but you wouldn’t need to put the full expression every time you use it.

Here are some examples of Hopscotch code that could be improved if we had this:

Long groups of math/text operators that you want to reuse, like “Get the nth item from this list which is represented as a string,” where you would provide the string acting as a list and the index.

I was actually thinking this earlier today. This would be epic.

Basically custom operator. That would be a really cool way to implement arguments into the custom “blocks (that aren’t really blocks)”

so basically

customMath(calculate) = 5 + 3 - (Var1)/56 * 014 - 1
set text to (customMath(calculate))

?

that would be cool

So, if I understood correctly, less cool functions. I mean, it’s better than what we have now

Yes. This would be super helpful. I can’t think of what you would refer to it as. Any ideas?

Great idea! I’d love to see this implemented.
